These terms apply to the services provided by Streamline Travels, the travel advisory practice of Mike Leslie, Long Island, New York, an Independent Specialist affiliated with Burr Travel of Northport, New York. Bookings are made through Burr Travel as the agency of record.
Streamline Travels plans and coordinates travel. That means understanding what you want from a trip, researching options, recommending a route and the places to stay, arranging reservations, and staying reachable while you travel. We act as an intermediary between you and the suppliers who actually provide the travel.
The first conversation is complimentary. If you decide to move forward, we agree on the scope of the work and a Research & Quoting Fee before detailed planning begins. The fee reflects the time and expertise involved in researching and building your trip, and it is applied toward your trip cost when you book through Streamline Travels.
The fee is quoted and agreed in writing before any work starts, and it is payable at that point. If you choose not to book, the fee covers the research already carried out and is not refunded.
Deposits, final payment dates, change fees and cancellation penalties are set by each supplier — the hotel, airline, tour operator, cruise line or villa owner — not by Streamline Travels. Those terms are given to you in writing before you pay, and by making a payment you accept them. Some bookings are non-refundable from the moment they are confirmed.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended on every trip, and we will offer it to you. If you decline, we will ask you to confirm that in writing. Coverage, exclusions and claims are matters between you and the insurer.
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any required visas, and meeting the entry and health requirements of every country on your itinerary. We will tell you what we know of those requirements, but they change, and the final responsibility rests with the traveler. Names on bookings must match travel documents exactly; corrections after ticketing may carry supplier fees.
By checking either consent box on our inquiry form, you agree to receive text messages from Streamline Travels at the number you provide. There are two separate and optional programs:
Consent is not a condition of purchase or of working with us. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
We take care in choosing suppliers and in the arrangements we make, but Streamline Travels does not own or operate the hotels, airlines, transport, tours or other services that make up a trip. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of those suppliers, or for events outside reasonable control — weather, strikes, mechanical failure, illness, closures, government action or acts of God. Where we are found liable, our liability is limited to the fees you paid directly to Streamline Travels.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
